A Unique Summer Camp
Projects that will last a lifetime
Clay Camp 2025
Dates will be announced mid March!
Hand Building Camp for ages 7 and above Mon-Fri 9am-12pm
What is Hand Building?
Handbuilding with clay is making amazing creations WITHOUT the use of a pottery wheel. This incorporates building techniques such as pinching, coiling and flattening slabs to make functional and artistic pieces. It’s kind of like sculpting! This is perfect for ages 7 and above. (We’ve found that they need to be at least 7 to enjoy taking the time to create pieces that will make it through the delicate firing process.)
Teen Wheel Camp (mixed ceramics) for artists entering 8th grade and above Monday-Friday 1pm-4pm
Why Mixed Ceramics?
This mixed ceramics camp will incorporate BOTH Wheel and Handbuilding Projects. Although artists this age may really be interested in the wheel, it is VERY HARD. Some find it too difficult, so we combine both handbuilding and wheel time in the session. If your child REALLY loves wheel, they can skip the Handbuilding Projects and continue on the wheel! If they REALLY REALLY love clay, there are full day options available, by also signing up for the morning handbuilding camp.
If you ask to reschedule or cancel 7 or more days before the beginning of the registered camp week, you can change weeks for free or receive a full refund.
If you withdraw 3-6 days before the beginning of the registered week, A $75 cancellation fee will be applied and you can either receive a credit towards fall classes or switch camp weeks.
